Core and slice the apples.
Peel and dice the slices
In a casserole, sauté the diced vegetables, peas and apples with some extra virgin olive oil.
Flavour with the turmeric powder.
Mix and season to taste with some pepper and salt, then continue cooking adding the broth little by little.
Add the boiled barley to the vegetables and add an extra flavour with some sage. Serve hot in single dishes.
