Facial treatments

Cleansing milk

For a deep cleansing effect, prepare a mixture with a glass of milk and the juice of an apple. Apply on your face with cotton. In alternative, mix a glass of milk with a tablespoon of white clay and the juice of one apple. Dab on the skin with cotton, leave for 20 minutes then rinse with warm water.

Peeling

Mix a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil with a teaspoon of apple vinegar. Rub the solution on your face massaging it with circular movements then rinse it with warm water. Vinegar has a brightening and peeling effect while the oil will deeply hydrate your skin.

Hydrating mask for dry skin

Grate two apples and mix them with two tablespoons of yogurt and one of potato starch. Mix well until the mixture becomes creamy. Apply on your face for twenty minutes then rinse with warm water.

Delicate skin mask

Mix a grated apple, with a tablespoon of yogurt and a tablespoon of honey. Apply the mixture on face for twenty minutes then rinse with warm water.

Lifting mask

Wash and dice an apple. Blend for one minute with four tablespoons of fresh cream. Apply the mixture on clean face. Leave for twenty minutes then rinse with warm water.

Mask for impure skin

In a cup, mix three tablespoons of ventilated green clay, half an apple grated, 1 teaspoon of yogurt, half a teaspoon of powdered thyme or sage and a drop of lemon essential oil. Blend in the ingredients, apply evenly on your face, and leave for 20 minutes. The clay will dry the skin, while the herbs have anti-septic and disinfectant properties, ideal for impure skin. Essential oils reduce pores, while apples have a refreshing effect.

Extra-nourishing mask

Peel an apple and blend it in a food processor for a minute. Add a tablespoon of cream, one of oat flour and one of honey. Blend all the ingredients until smooth. Apply on face and neck and leave for twenty minutes then rinse with water.

Brightening mask

Peel and grate a Golden apple. Add the juice of a squeezed lemon, one tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil and two drops of lavender essential oil. Mix well and apply on face for fifteen minutes then rinse with warm water.

In alternative, boil a sliced apple in milk. When soft, take away from the stove and press with a fork. Let cool down and apply on face for 30 minutes then rinse with warm water.

Purifying face pack

A natural scrub based on the properties of fruit acids that reduces pores giving a firming effect to the skin. Juice and apple, or make a purée in a food processor adding a ¼ a cup of water. In a cup, mix 2 teaspoons of apple juice with 2 teaspoons of red wine and 1 tablespoon of oats. Mix well and apply this “cream” on clean face and neck. Leave from 10 to 20 minutes then rinse.

Anti-stress tonic lotion

Would do like to eliminate any trace of stress from your face? Apply small slices of apple on your face, keep for 30 minutes then rinse with water.

Extra-dry skin poultice

Grate an apple and apply on face covering it with a hot and damp cloth. Keep on face for a quarter of an hour. Your skin will be immediately softer and relaxed.

For your suntan

For a “bonne mine” look, juice an apple, a carrot and a tomato. This juice is full of antioxidant elements like lycopene and beta-carotene. The ideal solution for preparing your skin for sun exposure.

Body treatments

Peeling 1

To maintain your skin soft, smooth and hydrated prepare this peeling mixture. Mix 500 g of yogurt (it helps clear away the dead cells and stimulates skin renewal) with a glass of apple juice (it contains malic acid, with exfoliating properties). Apply on legs and arms and leave for 20 minutes then rinse with water.

Peeling 2

Take two or three kilograms of apples, put them in a food processor with their skin then let them brew for eight hours (this is the required time before the pulp starts producing malic acid, a “good” acid for your skin). Then apply the pulp on your body and leave for 20 minutes, rinse under the shower.

Firming serum

Juice two apples and pass all over your body a gauze soaked in the juice.

Hair treatments

Dry hair lotion

Macerate for 3 days 50 g of apple seeds in 1 litre of cold water. Filter and apply the lotion on the scalp with a gentle massage after your regular shampoo. Let the lotion set for a few minutes then rinse thoroughly. Repeat once a week for at least two months.

Pre shampoo hair-pack

Mix two tablespoons of olive oil with one tablespoon of lemon juice and one of apple vinegar. Spread on all the length of the hair, leave for at least an hour then wash as usual.

Apple shampoo

Add some apple juice to your regular shampoo and mix well until completely blended. Your hair will be brighter and will have a good apple scent.

Hair strengthener

Mix 1 tablespoon of castor oil and 1 tablespoon of wheat germ oil with 5 drops of rosemary essential oil and 1 tablespoon of apple vinegar. Apply evenly on dry hair and leave for at least 30 minutes.

Split ends repair treatment

Juice an apple and dilute it in water. Apply this lotion after your regular shampoo at least twice a week, massaging the scalp well.
